Since
1932, when the Lindbergh baby was kidnapped, The National Missing
Children’s Locate Center, Inc. reported nationally over
one million new cases of children missing each year. One child
is reported missing every 40 seconds. Over the past year, more
than seven million photo fliers of missing children were published
and displayed throughout the United States and Canada. We know
how common this is because we see their faces staring at us every
day from advertisements on TV, on fliers in our mail and, more
recently, we have the Amber Alert.
Approximately 50 percent of America's missing children are victims
of parental kidnapping. Angry, jealous, fearful and sometimes
deranged parents defy the law, disappearing with their own offspring.
One year after a child is reported missing, more than fifty percent
of these cases remain unsolved, but not this one.
This
is the story of a little girl who is twice abducted by her father
and taken out of the country. Only the mother's love and determination
will bring her daughter home safely. With some help from friends
and family, the mother risks all to rescue her child.
